i've always connected with the emotion of this song, but getting the lyrics now it resonates with me even moreso - i had a great relationship, it went down, i was lying to myself and him (just like him). turned into something you don't like. the lyrics themselves don't seem like much until with the music (no kidding) i think there is so much analyzing here, too much thinking. the song says it much better! (nonverbally) feeling defeated in life |

| well, i wouldn't go so far as character assassination, or maybe i could. and i'm not the first one to ask why do people go looking to post for things they don't like? (i know a reason is given, but whatever). that's a screwed up way to be - being for what you are against, rather than what you're for. there are many different types of people who interpret things in many different ways. did you ever think of that? opening up your mind and seeing things from SOMEONE else's perspective, or one other than your OWN????? really. now, IGNORANCE, that is something you may want to think about! anyway, what *i* like about this song is the energy, how it makes me FEEL. no matter that i came here and can't quite make sense of the lyrics, there are some lines that make sense to me, and they are symbolic. there are levels of perception, interpretation, and communication other than WORDS!!!!! what, is only the left-half of your brain working? and a small portion of it at that? and maybe knock your ego down a bit. and WHAT'S WRONG with 10-year old poetry???? you think CHILDREN are inferior to you??? my god i hope you don't have any, and that you mature before you do. YOU were once a child, you know. did your poetry suck? you can learn from children, you know. they don't have all of the defenses and crap that adults have, so there is more truth, honesty, insight. i apologize for tearing on you, i don't even know how old you are. but...less ignorance please. | |

| i kind of take it as just another perspective of the world, a place you're at where you understand it all, see everything falling into place. maybe a manic phase? some of the deepest places you can go - seeing things in the soul, your heart, the world connecting together. silence of the world - the quiet things in life that not many people access or seem to think about. idk if what i'm writing makes any sense or i'm articulating it well, but this song is great. | |

| i don't get how people can be so judgmental about this album (and other things). just today, i've seen comments on youtube, people saying they don't like this album, they think it sucks, etc. i think this is a great album, more flowing (and from what i recall, deeper) than Take a Look in the Mirror, etc.....i LOVE korn, some albums i love better than others, but i don't go around bashing the stuff i don't like as much or that doesn't resonate with me as well as other albums/songs of theirs. be for what you're for, not what you're against... | |
