Regina Spektor – Wallet Lyrics 16 years ago
At first I thought that the 3rd verse was from the perspective of the person who lost the wallet, but I think it makes more sense if it's from the same perspective as the rest of the song. It shows how even though the person who found the wallet doesn't have their own wallet (is possibly less wealthy) they still hand it in.

I love the simplicity of this song. It shows how you can show kindness to people without them having to know who you are. Like a little Robin Hood moment X]

Regina Spektor – Buildings Lyrics 16 years ago
I love the fact that everyone has got all of these lovely interpretations. I looove Regina! <3

(Probably repeating what everyone else has said) I think that it's about a woman who drinks because she's depressed, and her husband sticks by her no matter what. He's a bit worn down by it, but he loves her so he just accepts it. In the first part of the song he's just saying 'They build buildings' as a conversation filler, but as the song goes on I think that the wife gets it into her head that he's hinting at something (that she should throw herself off of one). So I think that the last bit is a flashback as she is falling from a building. The last line "Don't they build buildings so tall these days" seems quite Regina-ish. Not particularly comical, but sort of ironic.

But anyhoo X]
