before i researched the history on this song, i thought that he was in love with this girl, even though she had a drug addiction and had some serious issues. the song's melody was always bittersweet to me :P |

this song seems to capture the feeling of ecstacy that people experience rarely; that is, when they are truly, heart-stoppingly happy, if for only a few moments. i think that this song is an exclamaiton to the person he loves in the moment where he feels this happiness, knows that it wont laugh, and that makes him brave; where before they had been denying their love for whatever reasons, he's telling her that its right, don't be afraid; let yourself go for awhile. |
