It's been 6 years since the first comments on this song... where i'm assuming everyone who posted a comment on this song was the kid still growing up, and the message of this song niaively brushed off as if 'heh, i'll never get old and have adult problems'. I'm 23 now, and last week i saw kris rowe perform acoustically, along with all the other people in the crowd, my old friends, the oldest best friends i ever had, that i hadn't even seen or thought about since those days, and this song struck probably the hardest chord with me that any song has ever struck. on the better half of a decade since i've listened to this kind of music, and i'm listening to this song and it still gets me. every. single. time.
The atari's are my growing up music, but i dont' think i'll ever be able to get over them. |
