all this stuff about it being based around god is NOT TRUE. yes, first: Paramore are NOT a christian band. second, its a love song, a good one at that. and last, it could be about someone who died.. i guess :S i dunno. when it says 'and its been so long, since i've heard a sound, the sound of my only hope', that does suggest they're dead or haven't been in contact. personally i think its about a girl and guy who went out, she left him because she didn't realise how much she loved him. but now that he's gone, she knows her heart belongs to him and she needs him to be with her. i absolutley love this song. and Strider, you nailed it completlety. it's not that hard to figure out the meaning behind it, but some parts did confuse me at first, like the part 'They'll Remember, Only Our Smiles, 'Cause That's All They've Seen.' i'm still thinking about it, but i think it's about the mask their relationship portrays. people only see them smiling, whether they're faking happiness or not, so they think that they haven't got issues, when obviously they have. and i'm not sure whether the woman killed them both in the end or not.. meh. sounded like it to me. |
