As much as I'd like to agree with everyone about this song being about a pedophile I get the feeling it is more about an actual guerilla girl. Maybe I'm just wanting it to be about something less noir. It just seems to hint that this is a guerilla girl out in Guatemala and has this relationship with a man she shouldn't thus creating this whole ordeal of secrecy. She likes her neighborhood that is why she joined the guerilla and she likes her gun. Now she'll protect him. Nonetheless this is a gorgeous piece. I love the line: 'I am your girl, and I will protect you.' E> |
