my interpretation is the idea and reality of communisim. the sweet communist daughter being the idea of communism and how amazing it is. yet she stands in seaweed water. the water being pure and the seaweed corrupting it. therefore she stands in something that is pure but has become something corrupt. the semen stained mountain tops can refer also to something pure, mountains (the earth's beauty), and how semen has corrupted it. the coca leaves along the border can refer to how the idea of communisim is euphoric. sweetness swings from every corner shows how the idea of communism is sweet and makes everyone happy because of the equality in it. the cars careening from the clouds shows how ommunnist thought that they were above people who lived in democratic nations, when you go out for a drive your so high and above the rest of the world that you have to dodge clouds. then the bridges burst and twist aloud this shows how communism in reality destroys structures (bridges, buildings, goverment, society) because people thought they were better and all they needed was communism. wanting something warm and moving shows how communist countries wanted sympathy, love by having other countries turn communist. bends toward herself the soothing shows how commuist nations found the answers in themselves, their people and how they relied on themselves toshow that they really do matter. proves that she must still exist shows how their governments used their people to show the world that they still existed, that they still were a superpower. she moves herself about her fist shows how communist nations used fore and their millitaries and secret police forces to pove to people and the world that the exist and the always will. |

my iterpretation of this song is that a boy is apathetic and depressed. then one day a pack of wild dogs come to his house nd his father tries to scare them off and they go away. When his own dog runs away with them he does not care because it was enevitable. The dog was tried of monotomy and the apathy and left. The boy starts to realize that everything around is going to disapear andcometo an abrupt stop eventually and that it is a part of life. This is shown by his sister getting taken away and eaten. only his mother seems to really care because she is crying blood dust. Blood dust could show that because of her life and life style she hasn't used her heart or cared for a long time thus it is covered in dust. When his dad losses his job and the boy says thats ok it supports my idea of him thinking that everything around will leave and stop one day. he finally realizies that all he can do is wait for the pack to come, take him away and kill him, but he knows that the dogs will get what they deserve |
