this song is definitely my favourite song on the new album. i;m not an american so i was never a supporter of bush or the war and i think that green day did a great job in creating a beautiful melodic anti-war song.
to Hero of the Day nobody is ever going to get over the shit bush did in office and even though i'm not an american i'm aware of world politics so i know.
The chorus is kind of sorrowful and it immediately made me want to cry the first time i heard. i was so in love with this song. i think it is one of their best songs |

Brent and Barry from Shinedown were on Vh1 Top 20 Countdown today. Brent is so cool and he said this song was written about his experience when he wanted to leave home.

i don't really think this song is really about God. I think it is about a relationship that probably didn't end very well and he is asking for someone to show him who he's looking for.
the choir thing adds a lot of drama and gives the song the right amount of energy
