| All songs mean different things to people in my situation. I am a navy wife... and I always have to go through a distancing of my sailor so that when he leaves I can remain strong. If I attach myself way too much at the beginning of a deployment I will go through hell. There is a distancing that normally happens, but not too much and that way he doesn't have to feel so bad when he leaves, because my heart won't be hurting as bad. So for me this it was this song resonates. | |

It is interesting to listen to her songs. I can feel the progression she has had with her views on love and the things she has experienced. unfortunately, society tells us that love is a happy ending that we are looking for our prince. We put a guy up so high that when he makes a mistake and falls of that pedestal we are going to crash badly. When I was married the first major problem crushed my world. This song and her video reminded me of that. A part of me said see you later! I didn't go, because some wise women in my life made me realize that he was no prince and this is not a cinderella story forever... from my experiences in life this is what this song brought out in me. |

This song is so sad. It came at a time in my life where me and my love were at the point of marriage. I shut him out and pushed him away because I was afraid of what I was feeling. He thought I was gone and things happened. I listened to this song all the time, because it was so true. I see the baker as a person who is your trusted person someone who picks you up when you are down. Who gets you through your problems. “we could change his mind”... “if you see him, say hi.” The baker knows both of them, knows the situation. I think she is hoping that the baker doesn’t only say just “hi”. Have you ever done this for a friend. I remember once my friends ex-boyfriend told me some things, because he knew he screwed up and he realized she was the one for the rest of their lives. They now have been married for 10 years. It’s a plead for help. Something she couldn’t do herself. |

“never was a cornflake girl”... To me this means these girls pretty much are prejudice against the raisin girls. The raisin girls are far and few between. They are different. If you think of cornflakes they are pretty much similar in shape smooth pretty in color. A raisin is shriveled really not pretty to look at, but you know raisins taste better. Scoop a spoon full and guarantee you would want to put that fruity sweetness on that spoon. “they must have paid her a nice price” to me this is another cornflake girl gossiping. Oh she wouldn’t leave us... cringing at the change... now they are saying nasty things about the “new raisin girl”... “string bean love” to me again is the cornflake girls saying that it’s fake. I can’t see Tori utilizing a cereal box and having the cornflake girl as the one to be like. Think of Tori how many artist, people do you know that even come close to being like her?
