I think this song has been written brilliantly, I have no idea if my interpretation is even close to being correct, but that's the beautiful thing about music, we all take what we want to take from each & every song we hear.....anyways.... I think it has been written from a person's point of view on the world at the moment, that we have buried our heads in the sand for too long (dancing, lost in cities paved with gold) now all those walls are crashing down and this person has awoken to what's really going on and is scared.....I also believe that the song following this on the album (.....and the promise of the truth) has been written as sort of an extension (I just say that because of the ..... before the title and what the song means to me) From scared to a little bit of hope (if only we could get the truth by the people in charge, if we all stand together & only go & fight their fucked up wars if there is absolutely nothing left to lose). There, that's my story and I'm stickin to it!! hehe |

I love this song!! and i think the meaning of it is all in the title, I think it might be a conversation going on between two people. I know at least that this album could also be read lyrically like a movie script, it's based on a whole bunch of characters, with a conflict based theme |
