You, Me, and Everyone We Know – The Puzzle Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I think that's because Ben went away and lived in portland by himself for a while when he wrote this song. |
Blink-182 – Ghost on the Dance Floor Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I just saw them in concert, and Tom said that this song was specifically about someone named Chris Baker. But in general, it's about hearing a song that reminds you of someone who has passed away. |
Blink-182 – Snake Charmer Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I agree, the intro sounds exactly like "Closedown" |
The Devil Wears Prada – Kansas Lyrics | 12 years ago |
And also the fact that this song was written while the band was in Kansas. Much like why the other song is called Chicago, where their other studio is. But yeah, I see what you're saying. |
The Dangerous Summer – Miscommunication Lyrics | 12 years ago |
This song must have been exactly what she said to him before she left..How heartbreaking. Amazing song though |
The Dangerous Summer – War Paint Lyrics | 12 years ago |
An amazing sophomore release I'll say that. |
Taking Back Sunday – Faith (When I Let You Down) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
And another thing that makes it more relevant to say some of this was written for his son is that in "Best places" he says "Am I just like the rest of them? The sum of my father and all his sins" could be saying that his son can be a better person than Adam and not just a sum of all his sins. Think about it. There's great potential in the lyrics to this song. Don't just disregard it because you think it sounds like a shitty cover band. I'd like to see any band make a cover as good as this. |
Taking Back Sunday – Faith (When I Let You Down) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I think you're missing the entire point of the song if that's what you think. I think it's pretty obvious that Adam understands he fucked up. We all do. So this could be a testament to his family, that no matter what he does to not lose faith in him. Cause no matter what bullshit has happened. Adam is still here, writing great fucking music. Everyone has some dirt inside them and it's about keeping faith in each other despite the dirt. What you have described is probably the exact reason he wrote the song. Give him a little credit. |
Taking Back Sunday – Money (Let It Go) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
That's what I was thinking. The lyric book is so scrambled! |
Taking Back Sunday – I'll Let You Live Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Unfortunately Fred Mascherino wrote most of the lyrics for this album.. But Tell all your friends is proof that Adam is too. |
The Dangerous Summer – Dark Chocolate (demo) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
So I looked online at the new album tracklisting, and this song was not on it.. Any thoughts as to what will happen with it? or do you think it'll just be forever a demo.. Love this song, Can't wait for their new material. |
D.R.U.G.S. – Thermacare Lyrics | 13 years ago |

Underoath – My Deteriorating Incline Lyrics | 13 years ago |
This song is called MY DETERIORATING INCLINE |
Underoath – In Division Lyrics | 13 years ago |
the CD booklet is probably the hardest thing I've ever tried to read in my entire life |
Kings of Leon – Lucifer Lyrics | 13 years ago |
where is this song from? |
Chiodos – Notes in Constellations Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I think especially the part where his voice cracks gives me the most chills. this song is beautifully written |
Chiodos – Notes in Constellations Lyrics | 13 years ago |
and these lyrics I got from the actual CD booklet so please don't try to correct me. here's the article that explains all the songs http://www.altpress.com/features/entry/track-by-track_chiodos/ |
Chiodos – Notes in Constellations Lyrics | 13 years ago |
My favorite song off the new album. The song is about Brandon Bolmer, going on a trip with his girlfriend, his friend "Notes" Olsen, and his girlfriend. Bolmer began writing about the area (which was Big Bear, CA) and a song to his girlfriend. Shortly after that trip however, "Notes" Olsen died. So Bolmer decided to dedicate this song as a song that "Notes" Olsen would have written to his girlfriend. |
Chiodos – Closed Eyes Still Look Forward Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Good job on the lyrics, that was really close, but here's the lyrics I got from the CD booklet. When you know that you've finally made it, Can make your way back, Make your way back home? I ventured into the dark, To search for a torch That would light the path ahead. Over mountains so high, Far and wide, Searching for a place to rest my head. On different roads I traveled, I remained the same. Facing fears, with no fear on my face. Through all the roads I traveled, I remained the same. Facing my fear When you know that you've finally made it, Can you make your way back, Make your way back home? You're on your own, You're all alone out here, Find your way back home. On your own... Find your way back home... From the darkness I came, In my hand was a torch that I found along the way. And in the distance I saw a house, With a light that lit the porch. I found a place to rest my head. On different roads I traveled, But I remained the same. Facing fears with no fear on my face. Through all the roads I traveled, I remained the same. Facing my fear When you know that you've finally made it, Can you make your way back, Make your way back home? You're on your own, You're all alone out here, Find your way back home. |
Chiodos – Those Who Slay Together, Stay Together Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Here are all the correct lyrics I got from the CD booklet. Light came through a crack in the wall That red sun slowly rose At the break of dawn they came, for us For a while we were safe and sound Came like theives and robbed our town Of all the life, of everything we knew The living versus the dead Pray to your god Hell is on it's way home Hell was rolling in like a rancid fog,and the world that we knew Was raining blood. Here we are (Here we are) We knew the day would come Those who slay together, stay together (In the end) Crimson irises, the army of the infected They smelled our scent, sensed our fear They knew where we were! The artist of the night They're painting the town red with blood They came through the door like a flood (like a flood) A force too strong to handle We were trapped like a candle surrounded by demons that don't want the light They darkened our ability to see through the night. Come through hell or high water We'll never leave one another alone This plague has taken control, of us Come through hell or high water We die only to be born into a monstrosity Light came through a crack in the wall That red sun slowly fell down And we devoured all that we could, oh yes we did we immersed ourselves in all the blood, biting each and every one The army of the infected WE ARE THE INFECTED Here we are (Here we are) We knew this day would come Those who slay together, stay together (In the end) Here we are (Here we are) We knew this day would come Those who slay together, stay together (In the end) |
Chiodos – Modern Wolf Hair Lyrics | 13 years ago |
You guys are close, but here are the real lyrics. I got it from the CD booklet in case you're wondering: You yell my name, But will I be coming? Should I be running? Should I believe in you? You yell my name, But will I be coming? Should I be running? Should I believe in you? I've wasted all this time, Trying to stand by your side. The wolves are coming out tonight, For they have heard your cry. And no one will believe you now, There's no place to hide, And now the wolves that you have cried will eat you alive. It's just you out in the field, They're showing their teeth behind your back, They're foaming at the mouth while they're waiting to attack. Howling in your ears as they surround you, They smelled you, They feed off of your cry. I've wasted all this time, Trying to stand by your side. The wolves are coming out tonight, But they have heard your cry. And no one will believe you now, There's no place to hide, And now the wolves that you have cried will eat you alive. Eat you alive. Quite the alarmistthat you are to haveworried the people of the village. Wipe that smile off your fucking face, This is no laughing matter. Under the moon, They mock your cry, With their howling at night, Will you be faster to lose them? Or will they catch you? When you'll run for your life, There's nowhere to hide. And you'll flee... Run for your life. You are the victim You are the prey You are the victim You are the prey. I've wasted all this time, Trying to stand by your side. Wolves are coming out, They have heard your cry. No one will believe you, No place to hide, Wolves are coming out tonight to eat you alive. |
Chiodos – Love Is A Cat From Hell Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I'ts "that you're blackmailed and defeated" "So what good are your words anyway? They're just a series of acting and plays. what good are your words anyways? Somber. Dim Lights. Somber. Dim Lights. Your façade." I think the rest of it's pretty correct though the ???????? part is "You are defeated, blackmailed and defeated. somber. dim lights. somber. dim lights. I got all this from the actual CD booklet in case you're wondering. |

The Devil Wears Prada – Gimme Half Lyrics | 14 years ago |
well I'm gonna try and take a shot at figuring out what this song means. to me, it seems like he's talking about how in the end times, when the rapture happens. people are going to be left behind and how believers of Christ are different from all the non-believers. "this is what is going to separate us from them" maybe he's saying all the things of this world will be gone in the end and that we shouldn't rely on them. "but don't mistake power lines for shelter". and how people try their whole life to "earn" their way to heaven, but fall short in the end "don't climb for a lifetime only to fall short of infinity". those people have built their lives on sand rather than the concrete God provides. " with faith, some minds are sand; but i prefer concrete." that's my take on it. let me know what you think. |
We Came As Romans – Shapes Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Silverstein – A Great Fire Lyrics | 15 years ago |
and it's "I threw you over my shoulder with the angel on my other" "deep inside i know that trust is the mother of deceit" and after " i can feel it coming to an end" you forgot some lyrics that say "and you're burning down my life so slowly. i know in my heart trust is the mother of deceit" if you think i'm wrong i've got the booklet right in front of me. great song though! |
Silverstein – Broken Stars Lyrics | 15 years ago |
there's a couple mistakes, let me point them out it's "a gold heart never rusts" instead of "i'll go hard, never lost" and "and now we will set this all ablaze" instead of "right now right now see this on the glass" sorry if i'm picky but i have the cd booklet right in front of me, |
