I see this whole song as a metaphor for a break up. I think the car represents the relationship. Painfully straight stretch of road symbolizing maybe his boredom in the relationship. The cadence, i have no idea. but i think it's all just a super huge song metaphor, kind of like The Tide by the Spill Canvas. They sing about 3 kids on a beach, but it's actually not about three kids on a beach at all. One of those things. |
