This is the first time I properly read over the lyrics as I listened, and - wow. It's so hauntingly beautiful. The way he sings it is so reserved throughout, even in the first chorus, but then by the time he reaches that last chorus he just seems to break down. What a painfully melancholic song. |

I love that kind of detail, it's almost overly sentimental. And the pace of that couplet is just perfect. |
