i love this song, i can't believe no one has commented on this. I don't know if this song is supposed to have a deeper meaning, but it seems very literal to me. the music is so beautiful though behind it, and the way his voice interacts with the instruments is beautiful, to me at least |

this song to me is about a girl who works to much and gets so caught up in the working world that it consumes her life and dreams and ambitions. All the while she slowly realized the down-to-earth boy she had wasn't going in the same direction with his life. She is replacing him, with her new life, the working world, the big city, company parties, and corporate boyfriends. every time i hear it, it sounds so sad, because he's narrating his own replacement. |
