Has anyone ever realized that this song is almost the opposite of The Best Of Whats Around from Under The Table And Dreaming? In BOWA Dave states "and if you hold on tight to what you think is your thing you may find you're missing all the rest" meaning that taking chances is a good idea because if you don't you may end up missing something really great, but in Big Eyed Fish Dave clearly shows that taking chances isn't always a great idea. This song is AMAZING. It has been one of my favorite songs for quite some time, but i never actually listened to the words until today. I think it is about a guy who is in a relationship with a woman who used to be great, but then got into drinking and drugs and has become totally different. The man in this relationship loves her so much, and is extremely upset about the person whom she has become. It is extremely hard for him to accept the fact that she has changed, and i feel that he is saying by letting her cry (and other stuff in the chorus) it will help her, and change her back to the person he "fell in love with long ago."

saw this song live in concert just a few weeks ago! it was unbelievable! it's so inspirational and really makes you think about what is going on in the world around you. i finally got my friends hooked on dave, and all thanks to this song! can't wait till june 2nd! |
