Definitely can relate to this song. I just got out of a long distance relationship. She went CSU and I live in Seattle. We both thought it would work out, but we all know how that goes. I had high hopes and was willing to try to make it work,b but she kinda said screw it. |

Ok I live in Seattle and this song is completely understandable. I do hang out with the sort of "hipster" crowd. If you've lived the lifestyle, you would know what this song means. It's about going out with your friends (and the people you just call your friends) all the time. Partying in general is damn addicting. And sometimes it gets to the point where you find yourself sitting in your room drinking alone on nights when nothing is going on, just to get the feeling of a party (god knows I've been there before). You are constantly surrounded by all sorts of drugs and such, so "inhaling thrills through 20 dollar bills" makes sense. It could be coke, it could be fentanyl, it could even be heroin. Sometimes this life just feels like a prison and you wanna get the hell out. |
