God, these songs are so intense and legitemately powerful and awesome. I love the way that Sunset Rubdown always incorporates mythology into their songs...its just something that most bands wouldnt even dare do, yet they pull it off with such ease. This new cd was great...and i hope more people can hear it and listen to the beauty of the way that it flows together |

This songs amazing. And JasonBelievesMe, at the concert i saw him at recently it was very fast-paced, possibly even more so than the way its recorded. It makes it even more, and i hope that you get to see it that way if you do not like the slow-paced. Regardless, this song is fantastic, and i have no idea what it means, i dont think anyone really does...its just a song of desperation and of the soul, and i really respect and like that |

this songs great. i saw them in concert where they played this song twice, once as its recorded basically, and once much softer and slower. Both were fantastic, but both gave you this intense feeling because of the way that the songs written. Anyways, basically just saying that the lyrics are great and this songs amazing. |

im sorry alex, i just thought that it didnt need much explanation. First, its hard to be pro-bush in the first place. Second, to be a rapper who raps about current events, then you have to be well informed. Eminem says everything that is truthful in this song, therefore you cant say that that is a reason to become "pro-bush." Lastly, punk, you are obviously making a personal attack on Eminem's character, and that is the reason why we should reject his views and immedietaley go against it. This does not make sense for two reasons. First, it doesnt make sense because Eminem can have his opinion, it shouldnt cause you to radically shift your opiniion to go against him, especially if he knows what hes talking about(which ive said above he obviously does.) Second, in a few of his songs, Eminem says that we should stop violence. According to your reasoning, the fact that he says this means that we should all immediately become more violent simply becasue we are "rational people" going against whatever Eminem thinks (which is what you implied with this statement.)
Therefore, im sorry for not clarifying my reasons for the above statement, i thought that it was pretty self-explanatory, but there you go...thats my reasoning |

you know, i dont know if this is right at all, but to me, its a soldier who had a high rank (which would explain the royal we) who betrayed his own army (the part about the friendly fire) by sending them right into battle, a slaughter (we went in straight for defeat), because he knew his army had no chance of winning (the army in the beginning ready for the siege/armed up to the teeth), so he swapped sides, but then feels bad about it and literally stops "believing in his decision" and kills himself and the high ranks of the people whom he betrayed his army for, and that is the ending part, and this is the letter that he wrote to his own people, a somewhat of apology....
to me, that is what makes sense for this song

yeah, that seems like it, and it seems like hes reflecting on it and realizing that it wasnt a great idea, the "Was it truly worth, truly worth the starting" that sums it up, he started by having sex, and that ruined the relationship, and so was that start really worth it, to ruin a relationship that never had a fair chance.
