I think your on the right track, but I think the meaning lies more in the way that society is moving away from the paranormal. In the past, insanity was thought to be possession. The insane were healed by Exorcism. Now things are different. Those who would have previously been thought to be possessed are now termed mentally ill and are given medication in institutions set up for mental illness. Hence: "They'll try to trick you into normal treatment." Yahushua or "Jesus" was the one who intituted the ability to exorcise in his name. Any healers or holy men able to exorcise the demons do so by the use of HIS name, therefore, HE is the only way; "Madman Slayer." Often those who use drugs notice the paranormal side of things more than the sober physical world. Just an interpretation. |
