This song is one of my favorite songs by the Chili Peppers. My interpretation of it is this: This band is part of generation x. They don't know where their going or where they've been. They're just there. Empty and alone because no one really knows, not even themselves. It's about a generation gone arye and even though they were all going through something different all they had was each other. It's like the wave crashin on the shore after it peaks. Or a calm after a storm. That's what this song means to me at least. |

so yeah.. every body is so mean on these comments. I always heard this song on the radio and figured that caffeine was a radio edit for cocaine. If that were true then this song would make perfect sense being as candy is a slang term for coke. But after some research. Nope.. it's just caffeine. Other than that I just think the guy was extra special horny and decided to write and eerie/erotic song on sex and candy. |
