| I agree with your version of the song but for all who love music it it because it has meaning for them and to them. Its all meant to heal the soul and make one and all not feel so alone in this less than perfect world. I mean what about poetry its all interpreted in its own way and only the artist knows what it really means. The real meaning to any poem, song, or art is always left to those who enjoy it, like it was meant in the first place. The artist is healed and so is the recipiant. If only doctors were so successful...LOL : ) | |

I lived an almost exact parallel to this song...it goes like this...I am putting it in a way as not to exactly refer it back to my story...example greater details left out. The freshmen refers to position in life. As in being young. The first two lines refer to personalities of the couple. They had a baby him realizing too late that he could not handle the responsability. They were engaged. The guy who knew everything was scared so was she. No compromise, she was still in love with him though he was falling out of love with her feeling the baby the wedding the resposibilities too much. He talked with his best friend about it who was in the similar situation. His best friends girl took pills and almost od'd. And his girl cut her wrists. The two guy friends cleaning up the blood. Trying to wash there hand of all of this (macbeth) were guilt stricken sobbing with their heads on the floor, they did not mean to fall in love either (fell through the ice) never talking about their lack in relationships. Deciding they were too young to be held resposible for the pain they caused in the hearts they broke, and their own in order to move on...they were merely freshman. I love this song but it does make me cry at times hope you like my version if not se la vi. |
