This song has two threads (the other beginning with "the"...). This is what I wrote in the other one: I think this lyric is about taking advantage of groupies, and feeling somewhat guilty (and parasitic) about it. Just look at the first section: "We're the horniest boys With the corniest ploys Who take the easiest girls To our sleaziest worlds" Being as popular as DM it's really easy to get chicks ("eating from silver spoons"). Presumably sleeping together is a mutual decision, but each individual girl just doesn't mean that much (which is partly why they feel guilty about it, like they're taking advantage of someone), there's been so many, and will be forgetten pretty soon ("All you remember we'll forget"). Being "the dead of night" is just a way of saying "we're bad boys" (fitting nicely, since "night" connotes sex.) I'm not sure what "the zombie room" is supposed to mean, but the rest fits with this interpretation. |

First verse: He's basically asking why he's so alone when he knows that many are in the same situation. Second verse: He's saying straight out that he's completely lost, and that not living in accordance with who he is is worse than not living at all. Talking about "raped" and "raked" could indicate that he at least partly thinks it's because things being done to him, rather than stuff he's done to himself. |

| Ops, my comment was supposed to be a general comment, and not a reply to someone. | |
