the guy holly's singing about sounds like someone i'd dislike because he doesn't know what he wants. he comes off like the type who constantly needs to be in a relationship and as a result will blur the friendship line with his women friends. the woman in this song goes along with it through and is aware of how cyclical & pointless it is... i guess that's why this song resonates with me too much for my own liking.

i can't remember where i heard it (more than likely from a friend trying to mess with my head) but the woman character in this song is the meant to be the same one as in "running to stand still"... so she's still a drug addict. i don't know. i love this song, it sounds amazing on some great speakers. |
