But also, I'd like to add, that this song does have an evolutionary influence, but it's not the main point of the song. It's not about the "sins" of man but more of our culture and how we've changed to behave this way. Maybe it's our culture that's evolved into something horrible, and he just wants to get away from all this. Obviously, a lot of Chevelle's songs show discontent of our modern day culture, how we put our priorities in order (being money and fame at the top) influenced us to become selfish and arrogant. |

Most of you seem to be against evolution it seems...but I don't think this is a song against evolution, but more of a general outlook at evolution or even a combination of the two. You can believe in evolution and be a christian or whatever religion you practice. I'm a huge believer in evolution and am HUGELY against Christianity, but i have nothing against those people who practice Christianity. I can respect their beliefs and hold my own, and I don't care whether Chevelle is Christian or not. Extreme Christians who live every day of their life by the Bible seem to always pushing their beliefs and always trying to get rid of things like the ideas of evolution. I don't think Chevelle does this, and I don't think that it would even matter if they were Christian, they make incredible music with incredible lyrics that should be enjoyed by anyone. |
