Lucifers Friend – Keep Goin' Lyrics 13 years ago
I can't I'm the first to comment on such greatness . Lucifer's Friend are the foundation stone on which Heavy Metal/Hard Rock genres in Germany are based on . Many people don't know that Uriah Heep's vocalist after Byron's departure who is John Lawton was actually Lucifer's Friend original vocalist . I'm not sure about the sorrowful lyrics of solitude and weakness here since Rock N Roll of the late 60s and 70s was more obscure then the early Bluesy 40s and 50s everyday romance and torture . I know one thing . This debut album and this track especially is one of Rock's finest .

Thin Lizzy – Sarah (2st Version) Lyrics 15 years ago
Long live Thin Lizzy led by the warrior Philo ... This song is BTW about Phil's grandmother Sarah who took care of him for a while when he was young due to life difficulties his mother Philomena faced . The feeling made by the instruments arrangement gives an idea or two about Phil's intention to create a dedicating , innocent atmosphere .

Budgie – Baby Please Don't Go Lyrics 15 years ago
This is my first comment and I feel lucky being here , yet tears are filling my eyes ... I can't believe no one pays attention to the music of early Metalists like "Budgie" . Anyways , this is an old Blues song first recorded by "Big Joe Williams" and "Budgie is just one of many who covered this song . To me , this version is way better than all other versions including "AC/DC's" . You can , in this song , feel the power of "Burke Shelley's" bass hammering and "Tony Bourge's" screaming guitar . This version is the most Blues-driven version I've ever heard among Hard Rock bands versions . If you listen to "AC/DC's" version , you feel that it is a stray from Blues-driven Hard Rock into a straight Hard Rock .
I'm not sure about a hidden meaning if one exists , but most if not all Blues , traditional songs are straight about a heartbroken man for example who would die many times just to be with his lover again and that the stronger the love the more the obstacles ...
