gotta love taylor swift. i can relate to literally every song she writes and this one is no different. i had been really good friends with this girl since first grade and she had never betrayed me. i had known the guy involved for about a year. i was supposed to hang out with said girl and my best friend one night but after being told they were staying in a nearby town for the night, i attempted to make plans with said guy. i drive around town for a while wasting time until he calls me back. after a while i give up and just end up going home. sure enough, right as i pull into my driveway he calls and asks me to come over. due to the fact that it was already 11 at night and i was home, i told him to forget it. the next night i find out said girl and my best friend end up at said guy's house to hang out with him and his roommate, who happened to be my best friend's boyfriend at the time. so my best friend and her boyfriend fall asleep, leaving said girl and said guy alone on the couch. so at some point they apparently needed to readjust they were sitting and somehow ended up "rolling on top of each other" and ended up making out. every time i hear this song i think of that night. and the funny thing is, i made this the ringtone for when she calls me and a few months ago we happened to be at the same place at the same time and her phone started ringing and that was her ringtone too. it was a priceless moment and i couldn't stop laughing. |

i absolutely love this song. i had never heard of anberlin until the day my boyfriend got out his acoustic guitar and played this song for me. it was so adorable. now every time i listen to this song i think of him singing it to me. |
