RA – Push Lyrics 16 years ago
This definitely sounds liek bitching out against the U.S government. The initial anger is about the false information the Bush Administration gave the American people that led us to war in Iraq, took our sons and daughters from us. THe chorus is about that he can't stand letting these lies go by him without speaking up anymore. This makes sense since Ra rarely has politically songs. This is the basic tone of the rest of the song. The "we can make it right" loop is a call to a different war, to punish these people. It seems like he's suggesting a more diplomatic way, one that will really show the anger of the masses. Sounds like an impeachment or an election.

RA – Genocide Lyrics 16 years ago
I would go so far this about actualgenocide since this seems to be coming right out of the mouth from a brain-washed soldier. Not his thoughts at the time of course, but perhaps a looking back after the conflict. The fact was he felt by the end, like a pawn being played by a warlord and now he realizes that his internal conflict was just one of millions.

RA – A Poets Dream Lyrics 16 years ago
A lot of great imagery in this song. It's a very hard song to interpret because the imagery makes it harder to follow for that same reason.

The first verse is about losing the understanding you once had about something. The repeated line "divided into pieces of the sun" is a reference to a broken relationship. I'm not sure if the narrator's talking about a person relationship or the narrators relationship to poetry, but it's definitely about breaking cuz Ra's references to the sun, while recognizing its power, also emphasizes its isolation and absoluteness.

the bridge is about coming to terms with and accepting unexpected results and fates.
the chorus is depressing. I'm pretty sure the "Walls" in the poet's dream are meant to keep both others out and the narrator in. No one helps the poet and the poet can't realize his dreams into reality, which in fact would benefit both the poet and society as a whole.

the second verse seems to be how the trapping of this dream has resulted in a corrupt world. Everyone has alterior motives to their acts of good and people are tricked into believing lies.

The last verse reveals that the poet knows about the corruption and it is in isolation that he has realized this. He ironically asks the world for forgiveness because that's the only way he'll be able to get out of this prison and speak the truth. Though I'm pretty certain that's what got him there in the first place.
