this is one of my very favourite songs. I think hes talking about depression and his vulnerability, but also saying theres something strong that keeps him 'burning' through life for lack of a better term? I think he views himself as dangerous, "I've been hurt And I don't care Cause I'm burning inside I'm just a dreaming this life And do you feel it? Said do you feel it when you touch me?" I think maybe he feels a dark undercurrent to himself, most people do...theres some uncertainty and tension in this song. He is trying to reach out to someone yet feels apathy/fear/denial (like in the part he says "Im dreaming this life") Thats what i take from it, but I usually discover new things to songs like this the more i listen... |
