I believe this song's about a self-harmer/cutter/suicidal person/you get the idea. In the song, both "you" and "I" are the same person; two different parts of him. "I" is the depressed half of him, whereas "you" is the "normal" part of him. "You're not there anymore" is in reference to feeling like he has lost all hope, and the part of him that wanted to go on is no longer there. The flying away/escaping thing is about how he thinks he'll be free after he dies, hence he wants to kill himself. The "thew a party in my name" thing practically screams low self-esteem. He thinks nobody likes him. ...At least that's my interpretation. I also could have the I/you bit backwards. (I confuse myself.) |
