to me, it's quite a simple meaning.. he's singing about being God or Jesus or what have you "And you can't stop me turning", "But you'll never stop me burning" - eternal life "Cause I'm the sun" - giver of life/the light "Come down with fire" - smight the sinners "Lift my spirit higher" - worship/praise me "Someone's screaming my name" - people calling on him in time of need "I'm the man on the silver mountain" - silver mountains being clouds = heaven "I can show you the way" - path of religion "With eyes that see inside you" - knows what you do/feel/think just my point of view. |

yep i see how this song is about drugs.. jimbobjoe is right also here is some other signs that points to this song about drug addiction "Oh what's becoming of me" - realizing he's wasting his life "Ride the tiger" - taking the drugs "Gotta get away" - needs to quit "Something is coming for you" - the high from the drug is coming "Between the velvet lies. There's a truth that's hard as steel" - you can lie to your self but you deep down know your about your addiction "Life's a never ending wheel" - addiction "You're the star of the masquerade" - lying to yourself just my point of view.. |
