I've always heard this was about John Lennon, but who knows for sure. It certainly was not about David and Roger's differences. David and Roger had hard feelings for a long time, but now have ended their feud. And remember Roger did NOT write all the lyrics on the other albums, and definately hardly any of the music. He had the concept for songs but especially Comfortably Numb David's song for his own album and co-wrote the lyrics with the entire band. Pink Floyd was in a league of their own, so we as fans should not let the pettiness that the press feeds us influence who is the better. All of them were important in giving us some damned good music. |

Lost For Words--IMHO no matter how you look at it I think it is definately concerning Roger Waters. I understand that Gilmour on more than one occasion approached him to come back to the band. Well he didn't and they moved on. Trouble is Roger wrote lyrics, but not all the lyrics and I believe none of the music. Richard and David did that and I guess Nick too. Gilmour also played bass tracks for The Wall for Roger. They worked together, but one was taking so much control, fights broke out.
That being said, I always liked The Division Bell..Thought it deserved much more credit than it got. |

My favorite Pink Floyd song, and I think the lyrics are beautiful, however I think of loved ones who I have lost through out the years, especially the last few lines of the song. |

I think this is a song about a musician who picks up a woman after the show and the next morning regrets it and has to tell her "good-bye". Love this song but it's kind of sad. |
