| "you shone louder" is just clever, clever, clever! it reminds me of "your smile so loud it still rings in my ears" from the cribs' "be safe" although that should be the other way round as i'm sure b&s wrote this first. it does sound a bit like "dirty dream..." i agree. a lot of b&s songs have a similar sound which is nice, they all link together sort of. | |

| i hate to say anything negative about b&s but i agree with Swedish, the "disenchanted pony" part really grates on me! but "now the centre of my so called being is the space between your bed and wardrobe with the louvre doors" is really lovely. it basically sums up the feeling of falling in love, and wanting nothing else in life than to be with the person you love. i also love the key change (is it a key change or just a different chord, i'm not good with musical terminology) in the last verse, "you were doing it for businessmen on the piano, belle," it changes the mood completely but works really well. i'm sad they didn't use this in the Juno movie, they almost did and it appears on the extended soundtrack, but never in the actual film, which is a shame. | |
