This song means a lot to me. I used to cut myself. At one point I was so suicidal and I called my friend - I was crying and I just needed someone to talk to. She'd always said she loved me and she'd always be there for me. But this time she turned her back. She refused to listen... I'd never hurt so much in my life. Just when I needed her the most, my best friend turned her back on me. My other close friends weren't there for me either. This song could describe the realisation that a friend is always there for you, OR that God is always there for you. In my experience, when someone says that they will always be there for you, that's bullshit. People don't keep promises. The girl who turned her back on me that night is no longer my friend, due to several fights following that night. But her brother told me about an amazing church. I went to that church and I have been going there for almost a year now. Finding God changed my life. I know that God and ONLY GOD will always be there for me...every step of the way. |

This song is so beautiful. I listened to it over and over again to get the meaning. The part about the hospital is not literal. The guy who is singing this song just wants the girl to know he loves her. She isn't sure if she can love him the way he loves her. The first time I listened to this song, I got the impression that this girl had been really hurt in past relationships, and maybe she is having trouble believing that this guy really does love her. I think her heart has been broken so badly that she is unsure if she can love the way she used to any more. |

This song is so sad. It's about a divorce. The first couple times I heard it I wouldn't have realised that, except that the title indicates that. But the lyrics do make sense in that context. It's written from a child's perspective. The child sees all the problems in his/her home. And wishes that his broken family could be fixed. |

This song totally describes how I feel. All the time. I don't feel accepted by others. I have considered suicide. I hate what I see when I look in the mirror. I know it's what's inside that matters but that's what I hate the most. Why can't I get at that part inside of me that people would want to see? It's so deep down inside I'm not even sure it's there anymore. |
