I'm not sure that really relates to the actual meaning that the Dead Milkmen had in mind when they wrote the song, but it's pretty funny if you keep that in mind as you listen to it. Tacoland was an actual bar/music venue that hosted unheard-of and up-and-coming bands in beautiful downtown San Antonio Texas. Exactly the kind of place a person would want to go see The Dead Milkmen. Sadly a few years ago, someone tried to rob the place and ended up killing the owner and another person. Last I heard, it was all boarded up and closed for good. |

This song is about nitro burnin' funny cars, because nitro burnin' funny cars are frickin' sweet! Seriously though, I love how it's about annoying people, and how the most useless contraption (a nitro burnin' funny car) or toxic environment (dioxin dump) mankind can create is more tolerable than fucking self absorbed annoying people. |

I always assumed this song is about a gay man trying to reconcile the religion he was brought up under with his lifestyle.
