Can't you see the point of the song? If you know what Adam Gontier(The vocalist) has been through you would easily reckon, what this song means. According to my interpretation, this is about quitting his addiction to drugs. He would rather feel the pain than feeling high. He doesn't want to destroy himself, to destroy his short life. He doesn't want to waste his life with drugs. Because he knows that the life we have won't be ours again. For me this song isn't about any relationships, like breaking up with boyfriends or girlfriends. This song is obviously about, his broken trust. To his parents, to the society. All those dreadful things, he has been through when he was a child (sexual abuse). That he doesn't want to commit the same faults again.(he has been addicted to alcohol as well) In my personaly opinion this song reminds me of a friend, who betrayed me, and how it really hurt me. That I can't trust her anymore. How I lost my faith to even trust anybody. Besides, I love when Chester screams; "I won't trust myself with you" |

I'm feeling the same way as SUMINER. When my parents fucking piss me off, I'm listening to this song, and turn up to the last volume. It helps alot, I mean, didn't know that a song like this could raise my rage. This song is just, brilliant. The best line is when Chester screams; "SHUT UP WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU!" |

This song has a very deep and overwhelming effect to me. It makes me think of my darkness past. In my thoughts has Linkin Park made this song because, Chester Bennington has been through awful things, like sexual abusing. He was just a kid when this happened. He has been addicted to drugs like, cocaine as well. When I hear this song, I remember of my own faults, that I'd rather forget. This song relates that, everyone has faults. |
