This song is about two people, who aren't in a serious, committed "relationship", but definitely have casual, possibly intimate encounters. One person obviously has more than "friends with benefits" feelings for the other, but the other person continues to pull away when things start to get serious. The man just wants the woman to stay and see what could possibly blossom from their relationship. |

I think that the meaning of this song is pretty self-explanatory. I think the most general meaning that most people would interpret this song to be about, is war. But I think that "war" could mean various different things. From war between countries, to wars that individuals are battling within themselves. If there was more peace and love in the world and people could come together and discuss issues, our world would not be such a conflicting environment. |
