For me, this song is more about a lack of commitment, at least the line..."Give the same to me then I'll be closer." This person has given a lot to the other person and just wants some of the same commitment back. |

To me, this song is about a person who is so depressed that they sleep constantly. They don't want to sleep but they feel as though they have no choice, hence the line about 'hand on chest'. Sleeping pisses the person off, but is also one of their only escapes from their reality. He's trying to convince people that when he's sleeping, it's one of the only times he's happy. |

Yes, there are sexual overtones in this song, but to me it's more about a girl who is infatuated with a boy. He teases her and suggests that he too might be interested. The relationship progresses very slowly and there's a deep connection, but he doesn't love her as much as she does him. They break up and she's still very enamored of him, though acts like she doesn't anything to do with him. A defense mechanism. |

I think that perhaps this song is about a woman whose daughter is sexually abused. The mother blames the daughter for it and then drowns her in the river, then carries her body back home. Even though the mother initially blames the daughter, she goes on to realize that she was extremely at fault and can't forgive herself. |
