first of all this song rocks! definitely one of their best... Loaded and alone = with "cash" or material goods but no one to share with Just a kid, just a fool Always trying to play it so cool So he did what he knew He left home and he dropped out of school = (this "kid" abandoned his roots to pursue a dream) He wanted fame, fame, fame Even just a little bit of shame, shame, shame He would sell his soul over in Changed his name, never going to get it back, no =(wanted this dream so bad he even changed his name, what a shame...) He`s got money, but he`s way off track So lonely that it makes him think back To his family and his friends and the lady he left back home He`s loaded and alone He`s loaded and alone =(once again he made it on the outside world but has no one to share with, regrets leaving home) Still a kid, still a fool Still trying to break all the rules A big house, with too many rooms An ego, to go with it too =(even though he misses the old days, wont change a thing for his ego has grown to big) and that's all i wanted to say, again just an opinion. think i can relate to the song, there have been many similarities, away from home i am loaded and alone. (or else why would i be commenting on this song right?) |

Personally think this is by far the best song from the Killers. I prefer to give it a more "common" meaning to this song. This two had something special going on, not anymore he still thinks about her, obsessed with their past shi got over him, moved on with her life yes she is with another man... Now his obsession has turned into sickness, just can't stop thinking about her, (you don't really know what you have 'till once is lost) Emotions are an addiction, turning into obsession, then comes the sickness..... |
