| I agree with WJ that the term christian band is an over used label I believe the members of Emery are christians and I believe they try to portray their morals through their songs and SOME of their songs may be directly about God but I think on a broader scale I think their songs are just about their morals that they have because they are christians. | |

| I think this song is talking about gods creation of man "We were designed for more. In an image not our own." Man was created in Gods image but we sinned "But we've fallen short." Then I think the chorus is talking about heaven and Gods love "I believe in a better condition. In one I have yet to attain. I believe in a better love. In one that has yet to change." Also throughout the song theres alot of other lines that talk about mans sin and gods forgiviness. I would go more in depth but I dont have time right now great band though and awesome song! | |

I think in part this song may be talking about him saying at one time he was a christian but not living life for God and his lifestyle affecting his friends lives "There's no peace for passing of this new sickness That I have introduced To everyone around me saying That I'm the cause of all their crime And when they're drunk I pour the wine" So I think the sickness is sin or not living for God and when he says "when they're drunk I pour the wine" would be like him encouraging the sin. and then at the end when he says "It is dedication my gift t you" I think he's repenting and changing his lifestyle.. I dunno thats just the interpretation I got from this song awesome band though. |

| im getting sick of people who look at a christian band and get mad at christian interpritations of lyrics i mean sure every song doesnt have to be about god but I dont really think its to abstract to interprete a christian bands lyrics as christian if people cant accept it don't look at other peoples opinions. | |
