Porcupine Tree – Lazarus Lyrics | 14 years ago |
a young man who came to a wrong point in his life???? how can you relate that to incest? nothing in this whole song sounds like it could have anything to do with incest.. also the other songs on the album don't. |
Eurythmics – Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
this is actually what I thought it's about, but it's always open for interpretation. I don't even care what the writer meant by it, the interpretation of the individual is far more important imho. |
Porcupine Tree – My Ashes Lyrics | 14 years ago |
"And a dream plays in reverse on piano keys" 'Monuments burnt into moments' by Porcupine Tree is actually just piano keys played in reverse. I don't know if Steven actually did that on purpose. |
The Streets – Alleged Legends Lyrics | 14 years ago |
brilliant song meaning speaks for itself i love it when songs have something of philosophy and (anti-)religion to it. |
Porcupine Tree – Disappear Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Don't know if I have a different version, but my lyrics are a bit different We made the world believe we didn't care We gate crashed parties and just stood and stared We moved to London and stayed in all year Standing next to you I disappear You made a choice for us to live it up I've got a voice inside me saying give it up Let's get out of here, let's find a new career You be famous and I'll disappear I erase myself again I need security, you favour chance I ponder everything while you advance You bring the world to me and I just sneer In your shadow I disappear. I erase myself again I'm here I'm here, you're never standing still |
Porcupine Tree – The Sleep of No Dreaming Lyrics | 14 years ago |
'the sleep of no dreaming' = 'death' that actually makes sense.. thanks :) |
Faithless – Baseball Cap Lyrics | 14 years ago |
almost dropped a tear listening to this. |
Blackfield – Hello Lyrics | 14 years ago |

Porcupine Tree – Hello Lyrics | 14 years ago |
i know it's Blackfield, but this intro reminds me of Supertramp - Breakfast in America :) |
Porcupine Tree – Octane Twisted Lyrics | 14 years ago |
'Give me a sign I can breathe there' i think that should be: Give me a sign I can breathe in air |
Porcupine Tree – The Seance Lyrics | 14 years ago |
'Give me a sign I can breathe air' i think that should be: Give me a sign I can breathe in air |
Porcupine Tree – Drawing the Line Lyrics | 14 years ago |
it's not really that i don't like the chorus, but it is very unlike Porcupine Tree... sounds a bit pop rock-ish i guess. |
Pink Floyd – Goodbye Blue Sky Lyrics | 14 years ago |
i don't really see how this can be applied to sept 11. maybe if you have experienced it closely, then i can understand you can see it in this song. obviously about war though: bombs, run for shelter, fire, pain, 'promise of a brave new world'. |
Porcupine Tree – Prodigal Lyrics | 15 years ago |
that was what i was thinking about today, and why i went here to check out if anyone else thought of that. i'm not sure about it though.. it can be interpreted in many ways. when i look at SW's lyrics and i find another meaning for a song to have i just 'ad it to the list' instead of choosing one meaning over the other. that, imo, is what makes SW so brilliant :') |
Porcupine Tree – Normal Lyrics | 15 years ago |
i wonder why in this song he sings 'Wish I was old and a little sentimental' and in Sentimental he sings 'I never want to be old' it's contradicting, but im sure Steve Wilson did that with a reason. he amazes me once again |
