I think this song could be about world war two. I mean ``a little,little christian lie`` could be someone pretending to be christian to avoid getting arrested. At the beginning with ``SM: It's all right to shake, to fight, to feel`` Sounds like a direct refrence to fighting in a war and the emotions that go along with it. ``Mark: You go down, down, down, down`` This sounds like a refrence to a bomb. A bomb is also directly referenced with ``drop the bomb on you, my dear`` ``Red, red ropes, periscopes`` This may be a refrence to submaries used during WWII ``They've got everything will ever need stored under the chair`` And this could be a reference to an underground bomb shelter. |
