I always looked at this as the father being a pimp, "Daddys drive around, Mommys work night shift" (notice the plural "Mommies") The previously stated references to the lawyer at the court, the cops at the car wash, the father talking to people out of his window. And the daughter saying "bitch" when she omits all other curse words. Why might this be? My thought, the father calls his prostitutes "bitches". Well, that's all I got. Slug + Ant = Atmosphere Atmosphere = The Shit The Shit = Slug + Ant There is a mathematical theorem somewhere that states the above, I just can't remember it. |

Aight, im gonna try to explain this as best I can from my perspective. To me, The bum IS the father to the Waitress. Early in the song he talks about his relationship with her as basically him being a annoyance to her. But at the end of the first verse he says, "And by the way, I can see it in your eyes You're angry with your life, not a stranger to the fight I bet you hate every man that you date And you're probably addicted to all types of escape" These lines show he sees deeper into her then she might realize. "I love her threats, It rejuvenates my breath" He loves that she can stand up for herself, that she is has a strong will. Or maybe he's just a crazy old fool who reminds him of her daughter, why else would he hope that he,"come back to Earth as a cockroach in your tip cup"? After re-reading my writing I noticed it dosen't make to much sense. But it's the best I could pull together in my current disillusioned state. |

The beginning of this song confuses the fuck out of me. It makes sense by it's self, but then the rest of the song comes on. Then I'm confused cause I was just hearing about this fine ass Demon bitch and then BAM! "I'm here for you" like song. WTF? Dope as fuck though, pardon the language, tis be the pain I feel. |
