People seemed confused over this line: 'When you put it on the other hand When you're old enough to understand That glove will bring it all to light I didn't say that made it right.' What I take it to mean is the saying 'The glove's on the other hand', meaning seeing a situation from a different perspective. So what it's saying is that when the child is old enough to know about these feelings they'll understand better why their father cheated on his wife, but it still doesn't make it right. |
