@SkittlesBug: i feel as if he refers as well to those who go to the concerts but only know the stuff from gauze-kisou, nothing beyond that... i was fortunate enough to be exposed to gauze and uroboros at the same time~ i think he is also referring to the current fans... "Everyone wants to reach out their hand and grab happiness But they just end up becoming the monster that lies deep in darkness" i remember how everybody reached out at the concerts... during "the final" we all joined hands **nyc wednesday 2009 baby :3** and reached out to the stage... and i think there is nothing in the world that was a greater happiness than when they played akuro no oka... but then... i can only speak from personal experience, how deg affected myself and the lives of those closest to me. i am pretty much isolated from the people who used to be my friends before i became a DEG fan. I don't have a place in that world anymore, although to be honest I never really did. Sometimes, DEG songs awake the darkest moments inside of me... "Seeing people becoming friendly while clapping hands That mixes in with sissy thoughts and hurts others Seeing you like this, it's just too sad" I made so many friends through dir en grey. But then again, so many people i don't like too... a lot of the fans are vicious and backstabbing. every rose has its thorns, to quote guns n roses... To me it feels as if he is promising to always put his everything into his music, but at the same time he is wondering what the meaning of his existence is, will his music be remembered after he's gone? a lot of people talk like, oh DEG are gonna be over, and lets face it, there will come a day and time when dir en grey will be music history **please not for another fifty years xD** "Is it a sin for me to live because I am evil? " that is the line that really interests me, but i am not sure how it applies just yet... |

well the way i see it, is that he is saying, it is all too focused on what can be bought, and things that really matter are forgotten and left behind. "actually i want to love the world before me" wish he could love the world but everyone is so messed up... i agree with him on that one, especially after watching all this madness surrounding the Miyavi/Melody wedding disaster... "The eyes to see the reality is far more important" we should try to see the things that really matter, instead of just looking around blindly and taking things for what they are, try to understand the world... because right now we are blind, and that is why he wishes he could love all this, but cannot... epic |
