I love this song. I just came across the lyrics, and they are so beautiful. Because despite the drug abuse and all, it's just someone who's lost, don't know what to do about life. So much beauty lies in the lyrics. Terra Naomi has got an amazing voice, so much depth, and she plays so very well the piano. It adds so much more intensity because you can hear her voice very clearly, and the lyrics just hang around in the air. Because this song tell us so much, I think they're lots of us who could listen and say "hey, it's kind of me". That's when you know it's an amazing song. |

Not at all. It wasn't meant to hurt your feelings or anything. Everybody can like or dislike anything, it's all about your tastes, your opinions, and, well, you. You can of course dislike lyrics because you disapprove of them. Yeah, I see what you mean. In fact, this is the part of the song I don't like much - just, the voice in which he says it (I won't say "sings", because it doesn't seem that to me), I just don't like it, remains me too much of rap, or I dunno, but it's no singing voice to me. More, like threatening, or something. Yeah, Helen did struggle a lot. It's really sad, when you read her story. And, I agree, you shouldn't laugh about just anything, but there's one good point about all this - how many people actually know about her? Maybe they'll come across her name at school or something, and just forget it. The thing that's good about these kind of songs, is that now they're all asking "who is this Helen?" - Now, they will know. And, even if it's not by the right way, never mind, the world itself isn't right. Yeah, just like youtube. I'm not a fan of this kind of music or this band - I just happen to like this song. I came to see what people where writing about it here, because it's always interesting to see what people are writing. This place is for discussing songs' meanings, not just come and tell a bunch of things against a song. Okay, you can hate a song, I completely approve - there are lots of songs I just can't bear, but if you come here, it's to share you mind and maybe be a bit helpful. I mean, at least say WHY you dislike the song. Not just like "it's sh*t, those people should die for creating such a song and everyone who listens to it should go to h*ll". See, I find that just plain stupid. At least for a question of respect, some people did worked behind that, like for every songs, there's a lot of stuff to do, and well, they did it, because we can buy this today. I'm hundred percent for sharing opinions, thoughts and all, I think it's great, actually. Yes, they are all different, and it's the beauty of the thing that nobody will think alike, so of course there's no right or wrong - of course, there isn't. See, we are communicating, without bad words, insulting one another, and in a polite manner. I think THAT's what this kind of site is all about. I've got a deep respect for music, it's kind of my life, I don't want to impress anybody, you can dislike this song, it's your opinion, it doesn't matter to me. It's not about thick-headed, I'm sorry if it sounded like this, it was for people who critizise for a yes or a no, and just because you listen to rock you can't like like anything else, or because you listen to, I dunno, R'n'B, you must be stupid, or if you're emo, you must cut your wrists. That's so cliché, life isn't white or black. It just annoys me people are this kind of stupid and can't accept anyting else, and be mature and adult, it's just a song. Why are we making war about it? Just, plain stupid. There's this saying in French, it's called "méchanceté gratuite" (you could translate it by "nastiness", or maybe "wickedness"), and it's just that. You just want to bash about something, without any real reason, and, well, I just don't see the point. Maybe I could understand you're upset and all, but still, show music some respect. I hope I didn't offend you, that really wasn't my intention, just that sometimes people are kind of getting on my nerves because they can't be nice and try to share a real discussion, and maybe I get a bit too passionnated, but it wasn't against you, really. ^^"""""""" Have a nice day. |

God, I can't believe I just created an account so that I could add my opinion here. --" Never mind. Helen Keller was this deafblind girl who learned to intereact and "talk" by touching. She's really famous, you can find her story at a bookstore. It can seem kind of disrespectful, yeah. But I'd rather think it's just, like third degree - kind of like a joke. And, this girl is kind of deafblind, she's drinking, most certainly doing drugs and hanging out where she shouldn't, and just won't talk about her problems, she'd rather "speak" with her hips. It kinds of make sense. But, well, she just wants to forget her life, by doing whatever she's doing. And, well, I never did understand why people have this need to speak badly of anything. I swear, if you don't like it, why are you even here? It doesn't make any sense, go get a life and listen to music you like. And, I just listened to this song today, I didn't even know this band, like two hour ago. But this song is catchy. It isn't my normal type - yeah I do know Apocalyptica - Hell, I've seen them in live! They're SO great! ^o^ - and I listen to Jack's Mannequin, The Shins, TDG, 30STM, 3DD, HIM, TBS, BfS, BSS, Celtic Legacy, Muse, Aqualung, and I'll just stop here, because I could go on and on about rock bands. BUT it doesn't mean you have to be so thick-headed you can't tell a song is good, and has good lyrics even if it isn't what you'll normally listen to. That's just stupid. Everyone has different tastes, you should be glad we aren't all copycates! And, I'm the first stunned one when I did realize that this was kind of hip-hop I was listening to - but the exception confirms the rule. At least, there will be one song that will be good in a style of music you'd rather not listen to. Show a bit of maturity! Okay, I think the video was kind of dumb - it could have been SO much better, because the song is good. It's catchy, you'll want to dance and all - and the lyrics are really good. Sad, but good. And true, there are really this kind of girls out there - and boys. Well, so, who do you think is the ho? The boy, who shouldn't be trust, or is it the girl, who's just a kind of groupie because she's afraid of livng her [real] life? That makes sense about the "trust" part, like if she could trust the boy, she could change and be happy, stop binde-drinking and drugs, and whoring herself around. That's pretty sad for her. But, the boy's also smoking and does have his tongue down another girl's throat. So, well, are they both hoes? And, no, she isn't an actress, just "fake" and isn't the real her, because she charms, wash her hands and just pretend she's not under-aged, that she's just another girl who wants fun, and that she knows what's she's doing, and isn't kind of lost and acting.. Don't you know anything about "methaphor"? Rings a bell? Go to High School, then, for f*ck's sake!
