Weezer – The World Has Turned And Left Me Here Lyrics 16 years ago
First time I heard this I thought it was 'You remain turned away, turning burger every day'. Like it was about being stuck in a dead-end job. But then I engaged my brain and thought that that couldn't be right.

Even though it was released in 1983? And 9/11 wasn't a Sunday?

Idlewild – These Wooden Ideas Lyrics 16 years ago
Freud, you're basically saying the same thing in your first paragraph as everyone else... yes, the lyrics are simple and satirise post-modern thinking. It's basically asserting that postmodernist ideas are wooden, with no convition, full of contradiction (which I believe them to be; it's a very astute choice of lyrics).

These ideas sell repetition in the sense of an undemanding familiarity, and sell reduction. Look up reductionism; it's a method of deducing the meaning (or lack of) behind something by breaking it down into smaller simpler constituent parts. It often fails if applied to things like human behaviour, consciousness, self-organisation or any system with 'emergent' properties. Rigid postmodernist thinking does not like systems with emergent properties.

Pure Reason Revolution – Les Malheurs Lyrics 16 years ago
Thanks for adding the lyrics

This song is properly dirty, but you love it (you slag). I think it's about mistakes made in lust, and 'Malheurs' just means 'misfortunes'.
