I love the little *ding* after "Damascus blade" - makes me smile every time. The "guess I should be happy for you" part is so unbelievably catchy, I can't help but sing along. Also "it's the kind of thought that kills you twice on the way down" is brilliant. |

It's "no BIRD in particular", which is the genius of it. Love, love, LOVE this song. This and Eluardian Instance (and Triphallus) are the best songs on Skeletal, though the whole album is brilliant and I've been listening to it for about 3 weeks straight. I love how it has so many different parts and they flow into each other so organically even though they sound so different. (True of both the album and Women's Studies Victims.) Also I think it's "syntax DEconstruction" which would go along with the pomo-speak mockery - especially because women's studies is often concerned with Barthes etc. |
