i love this song. it's one of his newer songs that i actually like. it's a "prettier" song than we're used to from mr. zimmerman. you can hear passion and emotion in this song, whereas most of his other newer stuff is "music for the sake of making music" in my opinion. i haven't listened to his brand new album yet; maybe i'll change my mind about the current dylan. |

it's about our self-destructive tendencies and how we're screwing ourselves over. he's saying one day we will have to suffer the consequences of our lifestyles. which is true, i agree with him 100%, our priorities are way off base, we seriously need ot reconsider what is important to us.
citizen cope is awesome, i love his voice, but his messages are a little strange. they are either really bizarre and cryptic or incredibly obvious, but that's just me. love pablo picasso. |

wow i can't believe nobody has commented on this song. i'm not too suprised though cuz it is really obscure. i really love it though, it's one of my all time favorites to listen to while driving. it's just one of theose driving songs. def not a counting crows original, i believe it was blind lemon jefferson who did the original.
i got the general broken heart message, but why is the guy refered to as "rider" and what does mean jumper blues mean? i don't really get the allusions in this song. anybody got any ideas or insight? |
