I think he's taking the piss out of her a little bit, but jokingly rather than in a scathing way. His voice in this is really thick and gypsy-like, as if he's got something caught in his throat. Phwoar. He seems a bit infatuated with this bizarre facade. I find that quite cute. Never thought I'd say that about Pete Steele. :P |

This song is definitely in my top five favourites of all time. It's possibly the sexiest song ever written. :) It's really quite moving I think, not trying to sound like a pussy. I think that because anyone who knows what Pete Steele looks like knows his physical presence doesn't require him to be on his knees to attract a girl. So someone so physically powerful acting so subserviant is really hot to me. I always replay the "Am I good enough . . ." bit, him hitting that high note gives me chills. He's obviously dying to please her, it seems he kinda likes her a lot more. Regardless, it's still a really powerful song. Awesome song. Awesome band. End of. |

I remember the first time I ever heard this song as it's one of my earliest memories. I was five and my dad made me listen to it in the computer room of our house. I didn't know why, and can't explain why from everytime including the first that I've listened to it, a lump rises in my throat and the hair on the back of my neck stands up everytime I hear that first chord. I think the meaning in the video personifies hs loss of faith in the human race, but the piece itself exerts infinitely more passion than just that. Although war and confrontation is a huge problem, I think it seems to generic an issue to tackle for the emotion evoked in this piece. |
