I love this song, her voice has a sad tone in it and it's obviously about a break up, but it is more optimistic than a lot of other break up songs. She is lost because she no longer has this person in her life whom she has had for so long. She doesn't know how to feel because the person she loves is no longer in her life, but she is actually rational. She knows there are 6 billion people out there, hope is not lost. I think this song is about a child who grew up with a bad family life and no parents. He/she has had to go through life without parents and there fore feels lost, angry, and confused. They have trust issues because of this and now some one (foster/adoptive parents) is extending their hand to help give the child the love and guidance it needs. Children aren't supposed to grow up without parents but now that the "we" mentioned in the song has come into the child's life that child no longer has to go through life alone. |
