This is a great song. One of my favorites from them and definitely from this album. As a musician with dreams of going big this is how I always feel that I am going to end up in life but I can't pull myself away from the music. I may die alone, but I'll have my music. I do believe that there are a couple very slight errors in these lyrics, though: "He wanted fame, fame, fame Even just a little bit of shame, shame, shame He would sell his soul for it Changed his name, never gonna get it back, no" Should be "He wanted fame, fame, fame Even just a little bit A shame, shame, shame He would sell his soul for it He changed his name Never gonna get it back now" And then the second pre-chorus should be: "He got his fame, fame, fame More than just a little bit A shame, shame, shame That he sold his soul for it He changed his name Never gonna get it back now" At least that's what I hear and have been singing for a while. |

I might be wrong but i believe the first line of the chorus is "Tied to the fence as they break you" instead of "Tied to the fences they break you." Either way, though, very good song. |
